Why Fishdance Waves?
Years ago I received a t-shirt from a good friend who had visited the Pacific Northwest. It had a picture of jumping fish on it, and underneath the picture was the word "fishdance." I believe it had to do with salmon swimming upriver, but in any case I loved the image and the shirt.
The shirt is now long gone, but the word fishdance has stuck with me. I decided to call this blog "Fishdance Waves" for several reasons:

The shirt is now long gone, but the word fishdance has stuck with me. I decided to call this blog "Fishdance Waves" for several reasons:
- One of the earliest symbols of the Church was a fish, which was no doubt associated with Jesus' miracle of feeding the 5,000 with a couple of fish and five loaves of bread.
- I believe the Christian life should be joy-filled, and what is more joyous than dancing?
- I also think that Christians are called to make waves by their words and deeds. A follower of Jesus will make a visible impression wherever he or she may be.
So there you have it.
